Plasma "MYTHS"!
Consumers, please do not be afraid of the PLASMA! Especially if you are going towards a 50" or larger flat panel! Don't believe the "MYTHS"! The only "myth" I have proven is that the panel can burn in an image. In 2011 Samsung and Panasonic have once again put a "screen wash" in their settings. This eliminates the image that has been burnt into the screen. 3D on a plasma is another advantage, but this will be discussed later.
LED vs LCD
Just a quick note for those still in the dark about LED VS LCD! The LED is not a technology but a light source! They are still LCD panels.

HDMI Cables
Please do not over spend on A/V cables, especially the famous HDMI cables. Many companies are marking up the cables way to high! Your large retailers are telling you that one brand or another is better because of specs. These specs can be found on many "ENTRY LEVEL" cables. Do the research on the main specs necessary for great performance. For instance, format (1.2a, 1.4a 3d, etc), refresh rate (60hz, 120hz vs 240hz), in-wall rated.
